Motorola obviously are expanding their Android portfolio in all directions with China being one of them. The leaked images of a prototype called Zeppelin show a full touch phone with a 5 megapixel camera and dual mode dual SIM networking.

The new Motorola Zeppelin appeared on a Chinese (what else) website and show some intriguing features. The Zeppelin is supposed to have a 3.1-inch touchscreen with 480 x 320 pixel resolution, 5 megapixel snapper with LED flash, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, HSPA capabilities, FM radio and HDMI output.

If the specs sheet looks pretty standard to you, except for the HDMI part, of course, you may reconsider when you learn that Motorola Zeppelin will pack two SIM slots – one for the GSM and another for the CDMA network (if SIMs what they’re using anyway).

The rumor points to Q1 2010 as expected release date, but the Zeppelin is expected to hit only China. Sorry folks!

Motorola has just announced its very first Android based device – the Motorola CLIQ. The phone, which would be made for T-Mobile, marks Motorola’s entry into the Android platform. Will this be enough to boost the company’s sagging fortunes? We will find that out soon.

The CLIQ is a decent Android device complete with a HVGA touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard and all the other “standard” fare that includes WiFi, GPS and even a 3.5mm jack. The 5 megapixel, autofocus camera takes care of the imaging part. Specs wise, the phone matches the features offered by its competitors – namely the Samsung Galaxy i7500, HTC Hero and the HTC Magic. The recently announced HTC Tattoo might pose some competition to the CLIQ as well. However, that would only happen if the CLIQ ever makes it out of T-Mobile and is offered SIM free.

The CLIQ happens to be the first Motorola device to feature its new MOTOBLUR solution. MOTOBLUR manages and streams together updates to contacts, posts, messages, photos and more from sources including Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Gmail, and work and personal e-mail. The feature then delivers these updates to the home screen in easy-to-view streams so there is no need to open and close different mobile applications to keep up with the latest content.

The phone will be released in the fourth quarter of 2009 and while its pricing hasn’t been officially revealed, it is expected to hover around the $399 (Rs.20,000 approx.) mark.

For more information and details, CLICK HERE

From Engadget :-

The wait’s killing us for a proper hands-on with this thing, but we just had a chance to very briefly touch — yes, touch — the CLIQ as we wandered the show (and ran into tnkgrl in the process). Here’s what we can tell you:

* Despite the MSM7201a core, the UI is definitely faster than any factory ROM we’ve used before on any Android device. A good test of this is to quickly swipe open the app drawer — the action’s smooth on the CLIQ, whereas most Magic ROMs would stutter.
* The screen is glass capacitive, and it feels that way. There’s no “give” like you’ve got on a G1 or Magic, for example.
* Expanding on the glass screen, the device feels absolutely fantastic overall. Through Motorola’s thick and thin, you’ve got to admit that the company has a reputation for building ridiculously rock-solid phones, and we’re pleased to say that the trend is continuing with the CLIQ. Pictures don’t do it justice — the white model looks particularly cheap at a glance — but in the hand, it feels like it’s fashioned from a solid block of metal.
* The camera button has a focus detent, which makes it a heck of a lot easier to properly harness the power of your 5 megapixel autofocus optics. The jury’s still out on photo quality, but it seems promising and focusing is relatively quick (though our disappointment in QVGA 24fps video still runs pretty deep).
* This probably blew Google’s mind, but MOTOBLUR has five home screen panels along with a small indicator similar to the iPhone’s to show you which one you’re currently on. Who knew that someone might want more than three?
* The keyboard feels great. Truly stellar, actually — and we don’t think there’s much room for complaints about layout, unless you’re really into the dedicated horizontal number row.

We’ll have more thoughts this evening once we’ve spent more quality time… you know, “clicking” with the CLIQ. Sorry.
