Light Folio is our new free wordpress theme today, Light Folio build with style clean and light a combination black and white color. The theme has a unique, simple design that will perfectly fit for your personal blogs, portfolio, corporate and  can be a perfect fit for a unique magazine-style-blog.

Light Folio Theme is provided to user under the open source GPL License, you can use it for all your project or at least use it as a foundation for your next projects for free and without any restrictions.

The theme is a two column layout with a extra templates that can convert your blog into a CMS. The sidebar and footer are both widgetized, author and category templates included, as well as social buttons already intact. The theme style is a mix of rounded corners, flat edges and wooden elements with a schema of muted, dark colors on a plain white surface. Blue Rooster is free under Creative Commons license.

Old News WordPress Theme is a creative wordpress theme that resembled an old newspaper. Ultimately, it’s a personal blog theme, probably not the best for a business, but great for blogging. The theme was developed in a WordPress 2.8 testing environment and is fully 2.8 compatible, right down to the threaded comments.

It is very easy to navigate, fonts are large, padding is somewhat generous. Breadcrumbs are already built in with no plugin needed. jQuery tabs are built-in for the top widget to condense some sidebar space.

Summernight WordPress Theme is designed in a unique style, which is very easy to customize for personal use. It beautifully fits into the dark patterned background with its rounded edges. A WordPress theme like no other! This theme needs the plugins Pagebar, Get Custom Field Values and Readers Post.

To use this theme, you should use really big images and round them darkened at the edges. You get the best results with Adobe Photoshop. This WordPress theme is recommended for experienced WordPress users.

Paper Wall is the first wordpress theme released by INDEZINER and was created especially for Smashing Magazine. We created this theme as a challenge for us to see if it will be accepted for these great guys and in this way to receive a moral rating.

We have created the Paper Wall theme as an alternative to any classic wordpress theme from before.

Idea for design is our daily working desk. As designers we always put things on paper. We draw elements and organize our activities mostly on a simple piece of paper. A designers desk is full of writing instruments and sketches and this is why we tried to bring the same layout online.

We want to give to people the possibility to be able to simply enable this theme from wordpress theme editor and everything to work just fine. This is why we did not build a lot of features or personalized this theme too much in the idea to be simple to use. This is why it is very flexible with any standard plugins you may install in the future.

We enabled couple sidebar sections: pages, themes, archives, categories, blogroll and meta that can be easily managed from widgets section in wordpress admin. But, even so, this is not an ordinary theme. We created a really cool and easy to modify design that gets very flexible in the hands of a custom designer also. Main theme elements are: header, footer and sidebar. All these can be changed or have design modified easily and you can personalize your theme as you want.

ZinePress isn’t really an overcomplicated magazine theme, but she’s not exactly a run-of-the-mill blog design either.  My goal with this design was to create a theme that could present oodles of information to the visitor in a straight forward and non-threatening way.  It’s some of my proudest work and I hope you like it.

I’ve tried my darndest to make ZinePress play nice with all the major players.  The following  browsers have been personally verified by yours truly: Internet Explorer 6.0+, Firefox 2+, Opera 9+, Safari 3+ and Chrome 0.2+!

Widget Ready

Yep, this baby is widgetized!  There are sidebar and footerbar widgets.  Also, there are optional widgets for advertisements in the header and sidebar (if you’re into that kind of the thing).  See the readme file for instructions.
